Yes.

Okay, when I get home I'll see if I can get it working.

I still can't get it to work...

Once I got to the spoof point and that finished successfully, I close the GIMX-Launcher. Then I went into the Device Manager and found the controller; I uninstalled it and the driver for it (which was the libusb driver). Then I unplugged it and plugged it back in so it could reinstall the default driver (labeled xusb21 in Zadig). After that I started the GIMX-Launcher again, chose the WINDOWS_X360PadUSB config and hit start; it started successfully and locked me out of my PC, but I still can't control my 360 with my mouse, keyboard or the controller that's plugged into the PC...

I'm sure what ever I'm doing wrong is something so incredibly obvious that I'll feel like an idiot once I'm told what it is.

Also, I'm still unable to figure out how to configure my mouse and keyboard to take the place of the buttons on the 360 controller. There aren't tutorials that I was able to find that pertain specifically to mapping the mouse and keyboard to the controls of the 360 controller. I'm starting to feel like I wasted my money on the parts to do this, because I can't get it working...

Try the WINDOWS_X360PadUsbXinput.xml config.

You want to control a game with your mouse and keyboard? Instead of trying to build a config from scratch, you can modify a config (any config made for an FPS game, even one made for another console), it will be easier to understand how the bindings work. Download the config and convert the sensitivity as explained in the Quick Start. Then modify the controls using gimx-fpsconfig as explained in the Config Editors page, and calibrate the mouse translation parameters using the Mouse Calibration tool.

Yes, that's what I'd like to do. I was lead to believe that this was something entirely possible to do on console using GIMX... Is it not?

Ideally, I want to be able to control a game on my console using the mouse and a controller simultaneously. I currently do this on my PC when I play Battlefield 4; I use the mouse with my right hand while simultaneously using my controller with my left hand. The reason I do this is because I prefer a mouse to a joystick for aiming and looking around, yet I prefer a joystick to a keyboard for actual moving around and steering. I use the in-game controller configuration menu to bind most of the in-game actions to the buttons on the left side of the controller (as only my left hand is on it), and the rest that I use (I don't actually use every single in-game button / action) are bound to the buttons on my Logitech G500 via the Logitech Setpoint software.

It sounds awkward I'm sure, but it works really, really well for me. In a previous thread that I made asking about the compatibility of parts, I mentioned wanting to do this with GIMX and you said it could be done. I hope you didn't misunderstand... Can this in fact be done?

Yes it can be done, but you'll have to use gimx-config to bind your joystick controls, because gimx-fpsconfig only allows to use mouse and keyboard controls.

I understand it's quite painful to have to switch the 360 pad driver all the time. I added a new issue for this: #302.
