DIY Adapter recognized In Launcher but not working PS3

Post by ShatteredFox »

Hi, I received all the pieces for my adapter today and followed the guide step by step, installed all the drivers and firmware properly and made a config. The adapter shows up in the launcher and is recognized as COM4 however when I hit start I can't control my PS3. I've followed the guide twice over and still nothing seems to be working. Any help on this issue would be great appreciated.

I'll be honest with you, i've got no idea what you mean by nr 1, i'm fairly new to this.

This is what shows up in GIMX launcher Image

Do I need to already have a Dualshock 3 controlled turned on or plug things in a certain order? I followed the DIY Guide for Dummies also if that helps.

Hi,
The "No controller detected" error message usually indicates a wrong wiring. Please take a clear photo of your adapter and post it.

In case you can't make it out -
RXI = D2
TX0 = D3
GND = GND

The correct wiring is:
GND -> GND
D2 -> TXO
D3 -> RXI

There was actually a note in the wiki that was suggesting to read another wiki page in case the USB to UART adapter differs. To make it more explicit I added a wiring table: http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=DIY ... he_adapter
