Problem with Driving Force GT and the PS4

Hi.
I have just built my own Gimx but I have ran into a problem when trying to get my DFGT to work properly with my PS4.

I am able to use the buttons on my wheel to navigate the ps4 main menu but unfortunately the buttons do not seem to work when in a game or on an application on the ps4. The only buttons that seem to work are the ps button and the share button. I have no idea why this is happening. I followed the tutorial exactly.

If anyone can help me that would be great.

Thanks for the reply and sorry I took so long to get back to you. I found out it was the game I was playing. I was trying to play the wrc demo to see if I had got the gimx working but it turns out the demo does not have g29 wheel support so thats why it was not working. I tried the Sebastian Loeb Rally demo and I got my DFGT working with it using the gimx.
