Getting beyond DIY USB & installation

I would like to know if anyone would be so kind as to help me out? I have constructed the DIY USB, wired up the Teensy 2.0 and have installed GIMX version 5.2 on my system running Win7 32bit. I am trying to interface with my PS4 console. I have the DIY USB & Teensy along with my PS4 controller and a keyboard hooked up to a USB hub going to my computer. I've tested all of the hardware and all is functioning correctly. However, when I initialize the GIMX program and attempt to start it with the firmware "EMUPS4" (with a simple key stroke of "Z" mapped to do the "PS" function) the screen just flashes by and goes back to the initial screen and I never see the "program running" sub screen. I've checked the Tx and Rx and have swapped them with no change. If someone has successfully got "my setup" to run I would greatly appreciate any guidance you could provide. Thanks.

Please generate a log file selecting "Messages>Log file" before starting GIMX, and post its contents.

Hi Matlo, Got it working with just basic config. and using W,A,S,D to move around works! Now if you would be so kind as to direct me how to do this up to work with the Logitech G25? I know I have to have the Logitech Gaming Software running but how should I set up the GIMX? Would I choose the firmware EMUG29PS4 then how do I transfer des's config. file to show up as config. file in the GIMX launcher?

Just copy-paste the config in the config directory. You can access this folder using "File>Open config directory" in gimx-launcher.

Got it, Thanks. I had to convert the .txt file and give it the .xml extension. Now it works great! I would like to know if it is possible to "tighten-up" the steering response and make the wheel feel "heavier" by adjusting parameters within the config ? If so, could someone please direct me to perhaps a tutorial explaining how to do this or maybe just respond here with a little guidance. I would appreciate it. Thanks. BTW Matlo, great job with this interface.

There's no such feature in the current GIMX software. I added issue #359, but I can't promise I'll work on it.

Let me first say thanks for the great work you have done with this project. I don't know if this would be of any help to you for investigating how to add this feature, but I have owned this device http://maxbuy.cc/?page_id=1844 and it worked out OK but I no longer have it. There are buttons on the device that one can adjust the sensitivity and "feedback" effects. When I couldn't get the tightness that I was looking for I contacted the developers of this and they sent me a file to upgrade the firmware to add extra sensitivity to the device. The file has a .dfu extension and I cannot seem to be able to open it but it is flashed through their utility/program (which is available as firmware upgrade 3.0 at the link I posted). Obviously parameters can be adjusted in their firmware/software. I asked them if I could make said adjustments and they said yes however I was unable to open the .dfu file to do so, so I kind of gave up on it. If this helps and you are able to have a look (open) the file let me know and I can forward the "custom" file they had sent me for comparison.
Just a thought. Maybe somehow the feature could be added to GIMX and it would be even greater than it is now.
