Install stuck at UsbDk Win7

Post by celloc »

Heyho just updated my PC-Hardware.

Sadly the GIMX installation fails (gimx-4.3-x86_64.exe).

I get stuck installing UsbDk. Installer freezes and i need to force restart my pc.
First boot after installation freezes too. Need to roll back to old system restore point.

Pc:
Motherboard: MSI x99a sli plus
CPU: i7-5820K
GPU: Radeon R9 290
OS: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

Any idea how to fix it?

Thanks

Little update.
The problem is UsbDk. Can't get it to work.

Nice!
I will give it a try when I get home from work

EDIT:
:D It's working
Thank you for the workaround Matlo!
GIMX is the only reason why I am able to play on my PS4. Shooter with Gamepad - The struggle is real :P

Would you mind explaining what the difference between the original libusb and the one from the workaround is?
And just for the purpose of understanding: Usbdk is used so we dont have to overwrite the windows drivers with the libusbk driver?

That's it. And it's much more convenient as you don't have to restore the driver to change the config file.
