USB Adapter Questions

Hello GIMX community,
I want to build a usb adapter for ps3.
I found a Beetle and a uart in a webshop
Im not sure if the uart is supported.

The uart is made for the Cubieboard but it uses a Prolific PL2303.
And why do they say "Dont connect the red cable.".

I hope somebody can help me.

The PL2303 can't be used with GIMX.

The red cable is probably for power, there is no need to connect it if the target already has power.
