Leonardo R3 ATMEGA32U4-AU - CP2102 HW-598 - joystick not found

Post by satsuki_yatoshi »

Hello.

I just made a GIMX with a Leonardo R3 ATMEGA32U4-AU and a CP2102 HW-598.
I can flash firmware, it's working each time i've done it (want to use g27 one for ps3 but ATM i'm testing it in my computer only).

But anytime i try to "verifie" it's talling me "joystick not found g27..."
In the log Error: failed to read packet header from the GIMX adapter

I tried to invert rx/tx with no luck ^^'

log :

Swap the RX and TX on the UART.
If that does not work, did you rebot computer after installing drivers etc?
Usb cable bad?

"If that does not work, did you rebot computer after installing drivers etc?"
>computer rebooted after gimx install and after firmware flash

"Usb cable bad?"
>tired 2 cable an several usb ports

(if it was usb/board related would i be able to flash firmware ?)

Install these driver for the uart https://www.silabs.com/documents/public ... Driver.zip

Reboot computer.

If it does not work i would suggest solder the cables to the uart instead of using those black connectors.
(This will reduce all interferences.)

I would check the connections with a multimeter just to be sure. Is the led on the uart on?

Do you need extra power to the arduino?

Same with solder, i tried with another (old) computerand it's working, so probably related to my motherborad's usb (never had this type of bug with my arduinos ^^')

so solved, thanks for helping
