Gimx 8.0 install disables usb drives during install

Hello

I'm installing gimx 8.0 on a new windows 11pc and I keep getting the same issue. Every time I try and install gimx 8.0 on my pc it turns off my usb ports and disables my keyboard and mouse making it impossible to finish the installation process.

If I reset my pc my usb devices still do not work and I have to force my pc into recovery mode and restore it to a point before I attempted to install gimx. Is there a way to fix this? I'm running windows 11 pro 64bit (probably the latest version because it automatically checked and installed updates from a fresh install from the oem dvd)

Thanks that ended up working out, but only after I installed version 7.13 then downloaded and installed gimx 8.0. Downloading and trying to install 8.0 right off the bat still caused my cpu to crash

Now just trying to figure out why I'm getting the error messages "... .avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programer not responding" when trying to update the firmware on my gimx

I have 2 one is an official one and other is off of someone I bought off these forums. Both worked on old cpu that was running windows 10. So I know they work not sure why there no longer do

Windows 11 is most likely the issue, if it works on Windows 10.

Seems to be USB drivers that is causing the problem.
He got it working with an USB hubb (not ideal for GIMX) but if it works however who am i to judge.

After installing GIMX 8.0, restart your computer and see if USB drives function normally again.
