Hey all,
I'm having a bit of issues with my bt dongle. I suspect it's not a 'real' CSR8510.
on this page (https://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Bluetooth_dongle) I read that there is a program called gimx-bluetooth to check this. However I can't seem to find that program
Can someone point me in the right direction please?
bt dongle
Re: bt dongle
After installing GIMX, type in a terminal:
Expected result:
Code: Select all
hcirevision hci0
Code: Select all
Chip version: CSR8510

Re: bt dongle
Thanks man,
it's telling me it can't read version info for hci0: network is down (100).
gimx launcher bt pairing doesn't show the manufacturer anymore, it used to tho'. It said cambridge silicon radio ltd.
I'll take a look at it later, but progress is happening for sure
Thanks for the support

Re: bt dongle
nah, tried it many times, even rebooted.
Re: bt dongle
hah, so it IS a csr8510 for some reason bt is dissabled at boot. After I used /etc/init.d/bluetooth start it was showing up.
So now I got to work on making sure bt is enabled at boot. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
little steps... little steps
