Re: Hori PS4 Mini pad is the way out to support PS5

We've been using different controller but this doesn't matter much now as this way seems to be blocked for new games. Thanks for confirming! I might have a stab anyway as there have been reports that it works for some PS5 driving games and it's always nice to learn something new even if I cannot ge...

Re: OSW Mmos to PS5

so far didn't see any delay or it is acceptable. Ah, it was just a wild guess :D Glad it's working better anyway. Annoyingly, we could have got here a bit quicker if I hadn't made a schoolboy error at the start. I viewed my original FFB capture with the pre-conceived notion that there was a boost a...

Re: Hori PS4 Mini pad is the way out to support PS5

We already have this partially working with testing branch. It's a matter of time when we will release it. Hi GoDlike - can I just ask if the approach you are referring to is using the Hori? Sorry to ask, but after reading the thread I wasn't 100% sure. If it's not using the Hori then I was going t...

Re: Direct Drive friendly haptics using G29 profile (aka how to match haptic sink to axis)

I strongly encourage you to keep digging into the code and continue seeing what you can do you eliminate this problem for us DD wheel users. Hiya! Not sure if you spotted the other thread where we have been discussing this? https://gimx.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?p=21145#p21145 The version linked to on...

Re: OSW Mmos to PS5

have few lap for the version 4, it totally get rid of the oscillation ( but you cannot let go of the wheel ) and I get my FFB back. I have turned off most filters in my software to get the most out of the detail. This results in oscillations if I let go of the wheel but I'm cool with that because i...

Re: OSW Mmos to PS5

Hey all. One more build pushed to github: https://github.com/GeekyDeaks/GIMX/releases/tag/v8.0-g29c.4 This one tries to simply stretch the lower values being sent to the G29 to help smooth out changes in direction. It uses different parameters to the previous approach, so you will need to update the...

Re: OSW Mmos to PS5

Just tried out the latest build with updated g29_correction settings. It gives me more oscillations compared to the initial build. But these oscillations are only a problem if I let go of the whell. When wheel is in hands, the oscillations are barely noticeable. And the "notchyness" at th...

Re: OSW Mmos to PS5

I have one other idea to try out also. Here is a chart of the axis values and the constant force being sent to the G29 when moving the wheel back and forth about 35 degrees either side of the centre (the blue line is the wheel position, red is the force): https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AM-JKLU...

Re: OSW Mmos to PS5

After a bit of logging and looking at what was going on with the FFB constant force in the vanilla build, I noticed that there were huge sudden changes in direction just prior to the wheel going over the 0 point. I suspected this was the 'kick' feeling you experience in the wheel, so I decided to on...

Re: OSW Mmos to PS5

I copied the file over into my GIMX install directory. When I launch I seem to be getting libgimxudp.dll missing error? Any ideas? Pushed a new build here https://github.com/GeekyDeaks/GIMX/releases/tag/v8.0-g29c.2 - this should contain everything so you don't have to copy .exe files around to swit...
