Need someone to make a hex file

Post by Kakiharasama »

Hi

I want to test something that I saw regarding changing the Vendor ID and making a new hex file as explained here http://forum.gimx.fr/viewtopic.php?f=17 ... catz#p3652

I had to return the wired adapter I used to test on the xbox 360 , but then I remembered I have a adapter that I used on windows for the wireless controller. I have an idea I might be going down a road that has a dead end but I just wanted to ask if it was possible to use this with Gimx

Hi,

I moved the topic to the "GIMX discussion" section.
Changing the VID of the hex file won't make GIMX use the wireless adapter as an authentication source.
Using a wireless adapter as an authentication source is not supported.

Hi Malto

Thank you , I thought I was heading to a dead end lol. Im going back searching for a wired controller. I found a few sites talking about data lines on the wireless controller but it turns out they are locked according to the forums. I also thought using the windows wireless adapter would be different to using the play and charge cable.

Using a wired adapter is the only way for now.
