GIMX with GPP/Cronus

Hello,
I was wondering exactly how the gpp is used in conjunction with GIMX. Is it used in place of the DIY usb adapter? If so how exactly is it set up? Is the mini usb port on the side of the gpp used or the type A port used? I apologize, but I'm a bit confused in the setup of this combination.

GIMX can communicate with the GPP using the mini USB port (PCPROG).

Thank you for clearing that up Matlo. Now that I'm sure I have the gpp connected properly I have another problem maybe you can help me with. I'm running Win 7 64bit, when I connect the gpp and start gimx-serial prog I change the controller type to gpp and select my config. I then press start only to get an emuclient error. I've also tried downgrading as far as 0.40 and still get the same error. Do you have any ideas I may try?

It works fine on my side with latest GIMX & GPP versions.

Is your GPP firmware up to date?

Yes fw version 1.15. I have the Cronus version gpp. Is it possible it no longer supports gimx?

Can you check the USB VID/PID in the device manager?

When connected to PCPROG I get vid=0x2508 pid=0x0002. Connected using the output usb I get vid=0x045E pid=0x028E.

The USB PID is 0x0001 for the GPP. This explains why GIMX doesn't connect to your Cronus.

I opened issue 186 and I fixed it.
