Does the mouse's tab work on its own software on gimx?

You have to try. It depends on how mouse is designed, if it keeps settings in flash etc.

Yes you can use mouse macros. And you can also use gimx macros they simple and good for all purposes. All you need learn the language of gimx macros in wiki.
