Ubuntu 11.10 lacks required dependencies?

I am running Ubuntu 11.10 x86 as a live USB with persistent memory.
GIMX is version 1.00.
GIMX will not install on Ubuntu 11.10 because it lacks several dependencies.
dpkg -i returns this:
I don't know if libc6 is the only real problem because using "apt-get -f install" only provides the option to uninstall GIMX. Is it necessary to forcibly install newer packages from 12.04/12.10?
The wiki recommends upgrading distros, but the newer distros have the bluetooth lag problem. I did try running this in 12.10 and it installs and runs fine, minus the input lag.
