I have a bt dongle with a Bluecore4-rom
Right im able to map it and get everything working but there is a realy bad delay of 4-6 seconds.

any suggestions?

one more thing. when i first open Gimx-bluetooth i get "Cannot open config file"

Do you have any BT headset or several BT controllers connected to the ps3?
If yes, it's a known issue.
The only work around is either to use a wired headset or to build a DIY usb adapter.

The message is showed in an info box => not an error.

no bluetooth headsets or anything else connected. will a wireless mouse cause problems? i did plug a usb keyboard to try but still the same.
currently making a usb adapter with the minimus AVR USB V1. should work

is it worth trying to map another controller as i have 4? 2 new and 2 old!

hey! from my experience, a wireless internet signal or a bluetooth one can cause lag, if none of that works it should be the dongle, i happen to had the same delay with a broadcom, i changed the dongle for a bluecore4 and it worked, also had the problem with the USB wireless adapter, no idea why, matlo must know more, peace guys

matlo, there is something weird going on, since i updated 2 machines 1 to ubuntu 12.04, the other just to up to date ubuntu 11.10, gimx bluetooth in both machines stoped working, laytonanthony this sounds familiar to you by any chance?

tbh i havent tried 11.10 only 12.04. could thid be my lag problems????

Could be. I can't test at this time because my PS3 is in a cardboard...

try ubuntu 11.10 and do not update it, that fix the problem for me
