I got a Logitech G29 last year (2021), first wheel I've ever owned.
Been playing the Gran Turismo series since the very first one (1998). I own Gran Turismo 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and the PSP version. Never played any of them with a wheel until this past October where I finished building my racing frame from the Ricmotech RS-1 DIY plans - modified to fit me, of course. Now that I have a PROPER racing frame and car seat, I can play all the games - but now here comes the problem. The G29 doesn't work on the PS2.
So what's a Network Administrator who's handy with a soldering iron to do?
Build a GimX adapter for myself!
So I did.
Today, I finally got it working, but I'm having to build my own config file from scratch. I got all the buttons mapped properly now, but I'm still trying to figure out how to make force feedback work properly (hint: it doesn't work at all yet through the adapter). And since I'm new to all this, it's taking a while.
