Game Input MultipleXer

I have an issue where my Xbox One controller isn't being recognized. It is connected to my pc correctly and I can find it and the GIMX adapter listed in my devices. In the GIMX config it recognizes the controller and can auto detect the buttons when I press them. I am using the correct com and everything seems to be working correctly except when I try to start from the GIMX launcher I get a message saying "Error: No game controller was found on usb ports."

Do I need a different type of controller? I am using a PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller (that's the name on the box). Can anyone recommend an Xbox One controller they know for sure works?

You need to use genuine Xbox One controller. 3rd party controllers won't work.

Also the controller cannot be Xbox One controller with Bluetooth. Only models without it are supported.

We are aware this is rather short list of options and we're working on support for newer models.

I'm not sure what you mean by a genuine Xbox one controller. This one says designed for Xbox on the box. I thought it should work. Here's a picture of it. https://imgur.com/a/Qg5Jvzx

This is a 3rd party controller. Only controllers made by Microsoft are supported.

Just remember to get controller without Bluetooth support - try used one.

Can the controller be compatible with xbox x|s as long as it doesn't have bluetooth? I found one without bluetooth but I didn't buy it because I was thinking it wouldn't work because it can be used with series x|s consoles.

All Xbox one controllers work on Series and vice versa. Also One X and One S controllers may work by reverting firmware.

@misaghi do you know of a reliable way to revert the firmware? I haven't had any luck in the controller settings in my Xbox. Is there another way? I'll try with another controller soon too.

Yes they're compatible. I can't confirm reverting the firmware. I never used it.
