PS4 wont recognize Driving Force Pro

Hello everyone, I received my Gimx adapter in the mail today and am having problems getting it to work with my Driving Force Pro and PlayStation 4.
I initially accidentally downloaded the Driving Force firmware, which allowed me to use the buttons but no pedal or wheel usage. After trying 'get configs' under the help menu in the launcher, I could not download the Driving Force Pro .xml and had to retrieve it off of the github itself. This file gives me the "joystick not found: Driving Force Pro USB (0)" error upon clicking the check button.
I am running Windows 10 in bootcamp on a Macbook Pro, not sure if this makes any difference at all. In addition, I'm using a USB hub to plug the adapter and the controller into the main one of the USB ports on my Macbook (which only has two), not sure if this makes any difference either.
In addition, GIMX always asks me to install the Logitech Gaming Software everytime I open the program with my wheel connected.
Im still a complete novice at all of this, so any help is appreciated, thank you very much.
