I have a eee PC (netbook)with lubuntu 14.4 installed
The ds4 is plugged into the eee pc (turned off)
The usb ttl is plugged Into the eee PCs
The Logitech g27 is plugged Into the eee PCs
The Teensy 2.0 board is plugged into the ps4
I have tried turning on eee PC then turning on the ps4 with the button on the front
Then running Gimx click start then press the button mapped to ps on the g27
No response
Log file says

Then I
Press shift esc on eee PC then click start on Gimx
press the button mapped to ps on the g27
All works fine

macros are not available for: joystick Sony Computer Entertainment Wireless Controller
Have also tried
turning on the ps4 with the button on the front
Then turning on the eee PC

No response

All works fine
I also have a laptop with dual boot Ubuntu 14.4 and Windows 7
With Ubuntu it's the same have to run Gimx twice
With Windows 7
It works first time?
I have tried with 3 different usb adaptors all the same must be something I'm missing in Ubuntu lubuntu as I'm not great on Linux any help would be great

Please post the output of the dmesg command typed just after reproducing the issue.

Ok I've run dmesg
I ran it the first time I clicked start from Gimx

Didn't press any buttons on the g27

It looks like the dual shock it's recognised till Gimx has been run once?

It always works fine
If I run Gimx then press shift escape
Then run it again
Do I need any software for Logitech wheel in Ubuntu?

Please try this package:

It may fix the issue. It's based on the source code that will be used for GIMX 6.
