GIMX fails to detect the adapter

Post by efactor88 »

Sup Matlo,

I'm having issues getting my adapter working. I am currently running Win10, 64bit.

Here is the log that I got.

option -l with value `log.txt'
option -c with value `LogitechG25_G29.xml'
option -p with value `COM5'
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
native mode is already enabled for HID device \\?\hid#vid_046d&pid_c299#7&37d805d1&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030} (PID=c299)
ReadFile failed: timeout expired.
can't read packet header
No controller detected.
adapter_detect failed

I have a G25 and Driving Force Pro GT and neither of them work.

Let me know if you need any other addtional info.

Thanks for the help

Hi,
The problem is that GIMX does not detect the DIY USB adapter.
Check your wiring, and your USB cables (one of them may be defective).
If it doesn't help, please post a clear picture of your adapter.

Sorry new to this forum thing.

How do I post a photo!? I don't see an attachment button anywhere!

Update:
I might have figured it out. Let me know if it works.

TXD should be connected to D2.
RXD should be connected to D3.
And you forgot to connect the GND pins.

Got it working with my Driving Force! Thank you so much!

I will test the G25 tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Can I post a video on here to show you? I play on a 100 inch screen with projector!

Update: Gimx just kicked me out and now it can't find the ps4 controller!?

Did you disable power saving for the USB devices?

Sup Matlo,

Adjusted the settings on my computer for the usb ports and everything is working fine now. I also tested my G25 wheel and it works perfectly!

Just need to find a enclosure for the teensy now.

Thanks again for all your help!
