problem with pc detecting DIY adapter
im on windows 10, cp2102, and teensy 2.0 w/ pins. i got the fw loaded g27 to g29 for ps4 but when i get to the gimx part i dont get any port in gimx launcher or device manager even with the red and yellow cord switched still nothing the cp2102 board does light up though. i have tried different usb ports. teensy is still being detected by the way just incase
Re: problem with pc detecting DIY adapter
Should I just order another or something cause I'm not getting any response
Re: problem with pc detecting DIY adapter
Check in the device manager whether you see the CP2102 adapter or not.

I don't even hear a connect ding the teensy works just fine though and is the cp2102 board supposed to get hot?
Re: problem with pc detecting DIY adapter
Hi guys,
I suspect my CP2102 is faulty too, but as the shipping took 2+ months I want to be sure it is really dead before ordering a new one.
I just can't get my head around the fact that it is still recognized in Windows, I am still able to successfully load the firmware onto my Leonardo through it, but it fails the loop back test every time on Arduino IDE (when I short the TX/RX pins).
Does this behavior makes sense? If it's faulty, shouldn't it be impossible to upload the FW to the Leonardo?
Thanks a lot!

Re: problem with pc detecting DIY adapter
Yes, it would still be possible to load the firmware into the Leonardo as the transfer is performed through the USB port of the Leonardo.

Thanks Matlo.
I'll order a new one. A FT232RL this time, just in case there's something wrong with the drivers.
