- GIMX 5.2
- Windows 7
- Adapter: DIY USB adapter
- USB to serial adapter
- PS4
- trying to get the G27 wheel to work in Driveclub
-G27 wheel

In the Gimx-Launcher, when I hit 'Check', I get this message:

"joystick not found: PS4 Controller (0)"

This shows in the log file when I hit 'Start':

Driver file operation error. DeviceIoControl failed (Cannot create a file when that file already exists. Error code = 183)
option -l with value `log.txt'
option -c with value `LogitechG27_G29_PS_BUTTON.xml'
option -p with value `COM3'
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
native mode is already enabled for HID device \\?\hid#vid_046d&pid_c29b#7&23eee095&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030} (PID=c29b)
Detected USB adapter: G29 PS4.
libusb_open: Other error.
No controller was found on USB buses.
adapter_detect failed

I had been able to get the black command prompt window to show up before. The GIMX-launcher program would hang and I would have to stop it from the task manager.

There was also a time where I got the command prompt window to come up, it looked like it hung, I pressed some buttons on the wheel, and something happened and I got a log file that show all the different inputs I had made on the wheel.

Also, a general question on order of operatins. First assume I've just turned my computer on and my console is off. The dualshock 4 controller is plugged into the console. The DIY usb + teeny combo is connected to my computer and PS4. The G27 wheel is connected to my computer and is powered on .

Is this the correct sequence of events to get the wheel working on the ps4?

1. Tun on the console without turning on the controller
2. Open the GIMX-launcher program
3. Plug the DS4 controller into the computer
4. Make any selections in the GIMX-launcher if necessary
5. Hit the check, then start buttons in the GIMX-Launcher program
6. Hit whatever button on the G27 that was mapped to the PS button on the DS4

Thanks!

This is explained on the wiki: http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Qui ... _adapter_2

Also, I've seen the following mistakes these last days:
  • installing GIMX i386 on a 64-bit Windows (instead of installing GIMX x86_64)
  • loading the atmega34u4 firmware on a Teensy++ 2.0 (instead of loading the at90usb1286 firmware)

Finally got the G27 to work with the PS4.

I ended up uninstalling all the exiting logitech stuff and redownloadning/installing from here: http://www.logitech.com/pub/techsupport ... 10_x64.exe

Now my problem is that the pedals don't work in the PS4 game, driveclub.

Post your config on pastebin, and post the link.
And generate a log file:
  • select "Messages>Log file"
  • start GIMX
  • press the pedals
  • stop GIMX
