please help, ubuntu cant find joystick ds3 ps3

I've been fighting with this for awhile now

im running latest version of Ubuntu
everything is correct
it pairs up fine, finds the dongle

Please help, it does not FIND THE PS3 CONTROLLER
I Tried it on a laptop using Ubuntu "Not install, try first" option

it pairs up fine, but wont find the joystick
ive installed Bluetooth adapter latest drivers


not sure what else to do,

can anyone recommend anything so it can find the ps3 joystick ??????

I just noticed running the new version of gimx (latest) for Ubuntu 64x

the "terminal" status says " joystick not found"
this is the problem!!!

now, one thing I have noticed is that the lights on the dualshack3 ps3 controller are flashing
all of them where the controller is assigned to
maybe this is the reason, becaue in the ps3, once it finds it, it higlights it with the correct assigned controller number 1-4

anyone have this problem? maybe its the controller.. I tried two of them tho

Hi,

The bug is fixed in the latest kernel update.
In Ubuntu you can use the "Software Updater" tool to get the update.
