device manager registers it as a atmel usb device atmega32u4 not a joystick and the ps3 sometimes registers it as a joystick but it doesnt work(controls) whether its registered or not

Did you install the driver from the Flip installation directory?
Did you manage to load the firmware?
Did you reset the device?

just re tried everything and it still only registers as a uknown device on the ps3, the only thing i can think of is uninstalling/deleting everything and starting again, and i could make a video of it and post see if you could spot anything.

didn't install drivers from flip because there already installed
the ps3 does register the controller but the controls dont work, and the mouse pointer in the video doesnt show up.

Your video has a weird "tsc2" video format. I can't play it.

I will also try in linux but do you have a flip version for linux?

It seems like you inverted D2 & D3.
Could you upload photos with a better resolution?
