Can you propose 4 icons?
First thing that come into my head, clean and simple look.
That wall looks great McKack!

Nice icons, as you say, very clean and simple.
But I guess the bt & usb logos are copyrighted, and I'm not sure it's a good idea to use them.
As replacements, I suggest a tiny dongle with a blue light and a wire with a usb plug.

A rule of thumb I always follow when making icons is making sure text is readable and details aren't lost (ie. pointless) at 48x48 and 32x32.then a separate icon without any text for 16x16 (This is mostly with Windows in mind) but doesn't hurt the result for Ubuntu (and OSX for that matter even though it isn't relevant, yet *wink wink*)

Just a heads up on "compatibility" with bright wallpapers. But also especially in Windows Explorer (or most other "explorers" of other OS' that use a white background) Perhaps a thicker/darker outline would be a quickfix.

That right there should be the new GIMX logo.
