Tried unpairing it. Didn't solve the problem. Stop a few seconds after the 8 minutes mark.

Right now, I will just wait till you test it on your side and if all is ok on your side, well I don't know. Maybe redo the soldering, although it works great for 8 minutes so I don't suspect the board.

I also tried it on another computer and same problem.

Hi, Did you found out if someone else was able to play for longer with the new DS4 controller? Or maybe test it yourself?

Ok! I soldered my wire instead of using connectors..... Still the same problem, got disconnect.

There is some windows appearing, after a few minutes when it disconnect, in the task bar saying something like RawInputWindowError or something like that but I cannot make it appears on the screen.

Anyway, I give up.

I tried everything!

Here are 2 logs I did today. I can't see any error message in them thou.

To give you more information, yes it is always deconnecting after 5 to 10 minutes, but gmix keeps running, and it looks like after a few seconds, everything comes back for another 5-10 minutes...

And I get a windows RawInputMsgWindow appearing but I cannot open it to see the error.

I just notice the "joystick not found: Wireless Controller 0" at the beginning of both logs.

So does it means the ps4 enable the controller at first and then is waiting for an identification during the first 8 minutes? Then it would explains why it is crahsing after a few minutes, if it cannot detect the controller.

But if it is the case, why does it detect it when I click on check and not when I start the program? What can I do to make it detect it?

What I did at first is use gmix config and did auto detect to get the name of the controller, which is Wireless Controller 0. After that I entered that name in the g29ps4 config, replacing ps4 controller for Wireless Controller (I figured out 0 was for the id.) and then the check worked. I don't know if I have to do anything else to make the ps4 controller work.

Update first to GIMX 6.2 (Help>Update).

Did the issue happen while generating the logs?
Could you make a screenshot when the error happens?
If it's hard to capture using "print screen", record your screen using camstudio, play the capture, pause it, make a screenshot, and post it.

Lastly, Windows Vista is not officially supported as per the wiki.
If you have another machine running at least Windows 7, try with it.
You may also try in Linux Mint 18, it's easy to test in a Live USB disk.

The thing is, if it is the case that my wireless controller is not found when I start GIMX, as seen in the beginning of the logs, then it would explain why I get disconnect.

So what I would like to know is if there is a different validation use by the check button and by starting GIMX that can make one detect it and not the other?
