Multiple mice/keyboard

Post by Aige »

Hello Matlo,

is it somehow possible that gimx only takes inputs form a specific mouse/keyboard and with a second mouse/keyboard i can still control my PC? This would be insane, so you dont have to turn gimx on and off over and over again if you want to do something on the pc

Hi,

There's actually a non-documented feature that allows to release the mouse pointer. While gimx is started, press Alt+AltGr. This releases the mouse pointer, and allows to use the mouse and keyboard for other tasks. When you want to play again, select the "ManyMouseRawInputMsgWindow" window and press Alt+AltGr again to capture the mouse pointer.
