Yea. It came up no serial detected. So was unable to test. Couldn't find anything about installing drivers in ubuntu so assumed this was perhaps something to do with the version i'm running. I'm on an older unsupported ubuntu with an earlier version of gimx, its always been perfect so didn't want to upgrade as my experience with linux/ubuntu is poor.
I'm running GIMX 0.40 on Ubuntu 11.10
