Hello Guys,
The PC recognises the input in one of my com ports. I can't get it to work on the PS3. I transferred my bluetooth profiles from Ubuntu to windows and changed the input devices of the mouse/kb. Both say HID Complient KB or Mouse. Don't know if thats the problem.
I built the adaptor using the dummies guide but I think the wiring isn't exactly the same on my serial converter. For example, using the exact locations on that guide, the GND on the Teensy would goto 5V on the serial.
Right now I wired it up:
GND to GND
D2 to TXD
D3 to RXD
While plugged in the light on the teensy remains on when emuclient isn't running, flashes when i start emuclient. Hopefully something stupid.
I just tried it again and it was making random inputs. It was scrolling through all the menus and opening certain menus randomly. The PS3 charge your controller message came up as well.
It also took input 1 for the PS3 pad on the PS. Couldn't get my pad to change to input 1 without rebooting the PS.
USB Adaptor issue
Re: USB Adaptor issue
Just found this image

From that I swapped my TX/RX cables around, the light on the Teensy goes off but still no luck in controlling the ps3.
GND - GND
D2 - RXD
D3 - TXD

Re: USB Adaptor issue
You first wiring was right.
You can also test with this firmware: http://code.google.com/p/diyps3controll ... s-0.23.zip
The "EMUPS3" firmware is recent, it may be bugged...

Re: USB Adaptor issue
Thanks Matlo,
Made the change to the earlier firmware. I still have the same problem of random inputs being sent to the playstation without me touching anything. As soon as I start emuclient it goes crazy with inputs. Probably a few inputs per second, mainly moving left/right and a few X's and O's.
On the plus side, every time I start the client, it makes contact and does this. Previous firmware (latest) only done this once out of several times.
Do you have any suggestions to stabilise it?

Re: USB Adaptor issue
Did you set the right controller type in gimx-serial?
EMUPS3 => Sixaxis
firmwares-0.23 => joystick

Re: USB Adaptor issue
Yea, im running the 0.23 firmware so its set to joystick.
Interestingly when I start emuclient, when I try some of the kb buttons, nothing happens, but when I move the mouse it send inputs to the playstation.
