No soldering or microcontroller required.
reWASD does support emulating an DS4 controler for controling the PS4/5 through Sony Playstation Remote Play.
Sadly, lots of controllers (e.g. the Logitech G27 or other racing wheels) aren't supported by reWASD.
Luckily, there's a free tool called x360ce available, that will allow you to map the G27 (or others) to a virtual XBox controller.
An USB 2.0 hub (an external hub is ok) is required for emulation to be working. It has to be an USB 2.0 hub - USB 1.0 and 3.0 are not compatible!
Total costs are about 15€.

Tutorial
============
1.) Install reWASD, x360ce and Remote Play on your Windows PC.
2.) Connect your controller to your PC
3.) If necessary (you will be notified by reWASD if there is no compatible hub available) connect the USB 2.0 hub to your computer
4.) Enable Remote Play on your Playstation (https://www.playstation.com/en-us/suppo ... c-and-mac/)
5.) Start x360ce
5.1.) Click on +Add
5.2.) Select your controller from the list and click "Add"
5.3.) Ensure that "Enable 1 Mapped Device" is active
5.4.) Map the keys and axis of your controller to the virtual XBox controller (select "Record" from the comboboxes to do so)
5.5.) Click "Save All"

6.) Start reWASD
6.1.) Select the PS4 Remote Play (2023) profile
6.2.) Click on the XBox controller icon at the bottom of the reWASD window
6.3.) Map the buttons and axis of the virtual XBox controller to the virtual DS4 Controller (the one shown in reWASD is the XBox controller,
the buttons and axis shown in the combo boxes are those of the DS4 controller)
6.4.) Click "Apply to to slot 1" at the bottom of the reWASD window
6.5.) Click icon right of the "Apply (...)" combobox
6.6.) Eventually, you will be asked to reboot your PC.

7.2.) If necessary, pair your Playstation
7.3.) Connect to your Playstation
