Two noob questions before I order...

Post by Daddy »

Hi all,

I am trying to connect an old Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Wheel to Forza Horizon 4 PC version which supports the Logitech G27 wheel. The wiki says the module can connect back to the PC so you run GIMX and the game on the same PC which is what I want. I found a config on the net for a similar wheel and modified the xml to refer to my device name "SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel USB version 1.0" and the controller type is set to "G27 PS3" which I believe is the correct setting. The GIMX Launcher says "This Config Seems OK" when my wheel is connected. So far so good!

I am correct in thinking that with the box connected to two PC USB sockets and the Logitech drivers installed that this setup should allow me to map my Sidewinder to a G27 and FH4 should accept it?

Also, do you know when the boxes are coming back into stock? I see they are also on eBay but I would prefer to buy here if I can.

Many thanks,

Andy

Hi

Yes it is possible to emulate the G27 on pc with the adapter connected back to pc as explained by the wiki you must just use the correct firmware.

I am not sure when the adapters will be in stock will see if I can get Matlo to give you more information
Please Remember to Post your Log file in the support section , that way its easier and faster to start identifying the issue thus helping you to sort it out so you can enjoy GIMX :D .
