Hi Everyone,
i like this software. My DFGT works fine on the PS4.
I still have a "Thrustmaster Hotas X" in the basement and would like to use this to play "elite dangerous" at the ps4. The purchase of the "Thrustmaster Hotas 4" is from principle no alternative.
Is there something in the list of firmware that i can use? And which config should I use then?
Or is there no hope, because GIMX is created primarily for steering wheels?
But at the end: Thx Matlo for your work!! I love it!

Hi Hinge,
You can try to map this joystick as a DS4 gamepad. I think it will work if pc recognizes its buttons

Okay, that's the way i tried to avoid... But i have to go it.
My hope was, that there is a firmware to emulate the 'Hotas 4'.
I'm using the dietpi, so i have first to understand, how to get an individual config to that box

Hinge,
Were you ever able to get the Hotas working with GIMX? I also play elite dangerous on ps4 and was thinking of a custom controller

Ah, sorry.
Now, 5 years later, i used the Lockdown to get my Hotas x working on the PS4.
I used a Raspberry Pi 3 and an old image (gimx 6.9). As firmware i simulate a DS4.
It works, it is better flying around with the Hotas as with the DS4 but there is a big potential for some more immersion.
at the moment it is like this: when I log on the Hotas (simulated as DS4), the "real" DS4 is logically logged off. you can only register one DS4 with one user on the PS4.
Does anyone have any idea what else I could do to keep the "real" DS logged in?
Or can someone explain to me what the GIMX firmware "joystick" can do?
Once again: THX for this fine piece of Software, THX for freeware, THX for the free time invested in this project!

As I know, there's no way to register 2 DS4 for 1 user at the same time. But you can also map authenticated DS4 which plugged to RPi3 and map button for this DS4 on the same config.at the moment it is like this: when I log on the Hotas (simulated as DS4), the "real" DS4 is logically logged off. you can only register one DS4 with one user on the PS4.

So:
- Connect gimx adapter, THX and DS4 to RPi 3.
- Map button for THX joystick.
- Map button for wired DS4.
- Recheck.
You can map same button for 2 devices or more.
