Wrong wheel range in-game (Assetto Corsa)

Post by balz333 »

Hello together,

sorry for my bad english but I hope you understand my sentences. I want use my Thrustmaster T300 wheel with the GIMX Adapter on a PS4. Installation and configuration was possible without issues.
But if I use the game Assetto Corsa I have the following behavior (maybe the issue is also on other games). At the start of the game the wheel range is set to 900 degrees correctly. If I chose inside of the game a race then the wheel range switched to 420 degrees. I don't know where this is comming from because in Assetto there is no possibility to change this value. All other axis and buttons work as expected.

- t300 -> pc -> diy gimx -> ps4
- last EMUG29PS4 Firmware
- last GIMX launcher
- game Assetto Corsa PS4

Maybe somebody have a hint for me. Attached a screenshot of the issue

thx

GIMX receives wheel range command from the game. Are you sure there is no setting to control that?

Hello GoDlike, thanks for the fast answer. I'm sure there is no setup for the wheel range inside of the game. And the GIMX adapter will correct recognized as G29 wheel. Can I create log or debug files for better investigation ?

thx again

If your wheel got driver for windows, install it first then change wheel range from there.

Yes, the wheel have the correct installed driver for windows and works with PC games absolut normally.

But maybe that's the reason for the behavior

I will try today another PS4 game (Project Cars) and will see if that "works-as-designed" from Assetto

thx

I'm still not try on Assetto Corsa but Project Cars. The game will change wheel range base on real cars, so sometimes you will never able to reach 900 degree with certain cars. Gimx just do nothing here.

So far I had connected the T300 directly to the PS4. I never noticed the change during the game play. But it seems to be as you describe it.
