GIMX on PS4 - Logitech DFGT problems

Post by janmatys »

Hi there,

I tried to made it working but... GIMX fc a second after start. My config is this:

DIY USB
COM 3
Physical Devices
LogitechDrivingForceGT_G29.xml
None
Grab mouse - CHECKED

...here is the log after the immediate crash after START clicked:

global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `LogitechDrivingForceGT_G29.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM3'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
GIMX 6.4 x86_64
Windows 7 x64
Kernel version: 6.1 (7600)
USB adapter detected, controller type is: G29 PS4.
gusb.c:863 handle_interfaces: libusb_claim_interface failed with error: Operation not supported or unimplemented on this platform
gusb.c:870 handle_interfaces: libusb_release_interface failed with error: Entity not found
No controller was found on USB buses.
gimx.c:208 SDL_main: no adapter detected

...when the CHECK is clicked I had: Config seems OK (or something like that) message.

Im using x64 version of GIMX and the same version of Win7 and yep, x64 Logitech drivers are installed OK cause the GIMX "knows" about the wheel - before the install there was a message that the wheel is NOT detected but as written the CHECK is OK now.

Could anyone tell me what Im doing wrong PLZ?

Sincerely, Jan

Hi,
I moved your topic to the right section.
You probably forgot to install USBDK at the end of the GIMX installation.
Run the setup again, and make sure to leave "Install USBDK" checked at the end of the installation.

Hi mate,

U R just about right. I installed the version 1.0.xx that stops all my USB ports from working so have to uninstall all of the stuff and install the USBDK again but this time 1.0.7 which works (found out on some forums, here maybe) ... suddenly I forgot that I swithched the original libusb1.0.dll for the one from LibusbK package so I will delete it and rename the original backuped one to use it instead and viola ... WORKS LIKE A CHARM BRO!!!

Sincerely, JayM
