L2/R2 triggers not working - Fallout NV

Post by will851 »

Hi,

I've recently bought all the bits for the DIY adapter and put it all together. Seems to work fine, generally. Only exception is when playing fallout new vegas, I can't get the R2 & L2 triggers to work (needed for entering VATS in the game, if you play it).
I've tested the configuration on Killzone 2 and the R2 & L2 (mapped to B and V) work fine.
Any idea why Fallout may not be recognising these mappings? Could it be related to the value that gimx sends to the PS3 i.e. 255, when it really needs something else?

I simply modified one of the configs I downloaded and changed the button mappings (the mouse is not quite correct yet, but I figured this would be more important to fix first).
Using gimx 0.50, ps3 60GB

Hi,

This is a known issue: 99.

The DIY adapter is a generic joystick which only reports 4 axes (0-65535) and 16 buttons (0/1).
The sixaxis reports 1 more axis (0-255) per sensitive button.
Some games expect "sensitive button" axes to be reported, with no fallback if they are missing...
