8200 dpi Mouse

Post by Aige »

Hello together,

has someone already made experiences with a 8200 dpi mouse like Razor Taipan?
I'm on the verge of buying it. (i have a G400)

best regards

I have a Steelseries Sensei MLG which also features a 8200 dpi (avago adns-9800) laser sensor.

It works fine, but I think it's a bit pricy (100€), and I don't think it's a big improvement over my G500.
The "double sensitivity" "16400 CPI" is lame: the mouse reports are doubled, which does not give more precision.
It's a bit buggy yet in Ubuntu: I have to unplug/replug the mouse each startup, and the right side buttons are not working.

Aside that, I like the shape (even if it's different from the G500), and I think I will enjoy playing with it.

The G400 is only 3600DPI. The G500 is far better for a use with GIMX.
There is less difference between the G500 and the Sensei MLG.
