Alternate atmega32u4 board

Post by kez_2012 »

Hello i am new to this forum and i just have a few questions. i am trying to get all the parts to make this if it will solve my interference with my headset i posted the problem here http://gimx.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=655

I am from the uk so i would prefer to get all the parts that arnt abroad if possible, i am in no way tech savy so it would be a big help if you could take alook if these are right?

TRIXES USB 2.0 to TTL Serial Converter CP2102
http://www.amazon.co.uk/TRIXES-USB-Seri ... 687&sr=8-1
This looks right but the jumper cables with it look different will they work?

USB 2.0 A to Mini-USB B 5-Pin Retractable Cable
http://www.amazon.co.uk/USB-Mini-USB-5- ... 071&sr=8-1

Neewer New USB A Male to A Female Extension Retractable Cable Black
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neewer-Female-E ... 111&sr=8-1

Now the last part that i have found difficult in finding is the teensy part, the link someone provided here can take upto 3 weeks to come but i found this one that looks right Teensy (ATmega32u4 USB dev board) i just cant see if it has any pins.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alpha-Crucis-Te ... B008AS4870

i am hoping this will fix the issue i have been having as gimx is really great i mainly play the cod series with it and battlef3 and would be a real shame if i couldnt use it because of my headset

The first link doesn't work. I guess it is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TRIXES-USB-Seri ... B004ROOPK6

All these parts seem fine.

It should be compatible.
Compatible hardware is listed on this page: http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=DIY ... ware_parts

The Atmega32u4 board on ebay is not from a UK store.

just got all the parts putting it together now but the picture doesnt make it clear where i have to put the wire on my teensy could you tell me where i would put the wires . even though the picture shows 2 rows of double pins on each side mine has 2 rows of single pins everything else is the exact same, could you tell me the specific numbers of the pins that i need to attach the wires to.
The reason i think the wires are in the wrong pins is because the tutorial picture is unclear i cant see the pin numbers on the board and the light doesnt turn off.

Your board is not a teensy, but it has the same chip (atmega32u4).
You have to connect the same pins (D2, D3 and GND).

I have connected the wires to d2 d3 and gnd but the LED will not turn off and the program button is greyed out when i try to load the atmega32U4.hex

Edit: On the image that labels the wires 1 2 and 3 can you tell me which wires connect to d2, d3 and gdn.

Edit 2: I thiink it may be some kind of driver problem (although I downloaded and installed what I was told to on the tutorial). In device manager I have a device called "ATm32U4DFU" that has a yellow triangle and also some thing called "unknown device".

You can't use the teensy loader with this board. Use Flip instead.

It's working now. But the replace mouse and replace keyboard options are greyed out so I can't replace them. So my mouse and keyboard don't work :(
