user@ubuntu:~$ hciconfig -a hci0

Can't read local name on hci0: Connection timed out (110)

Pretty sure I'm on 10.10
1.6GHz processor
512MB RAM

I originally installed Ubuntu but then installed Xubuntu after over it because of the low RAM count.

Ubuntu can control everything for the bluetooth adapter, I just can't find it in sixemugui.
Also, it reads the controller's address fine.
Any ideas?

SixEmu is going to be in the games section.

Also it is recomended to upgrade to 11.04

And try a different usb slot if it doesn't find the blue tooth dongle.

Where did you bought this dongle?
I think this is a poor quality dongle, probably a CSR counterfeit.

Don't buy ebay/dealextreme dongles.
Try one from a local store!

Yeah, it's a DX. I thought it might've been because these USB ports may be USB1.1 I think. I'll go pick one up from the local Walsmart later.
Thanks anyway.

I've had great success with DX dongles. But yeah, there's plenty of counterfeit ones on there.
