Is Dualshock 4 needed to use GIMX on PS5 for PS4 titles?

I want to use KB&M on PS5 for PS4 titles, but only have Dualsense, no DS4. Is it possible? If yes, how to do it? Is it any different than using GIMX on PS4?

Yes it is required.

I can't use GIMX on PS5 even I use DS4, It always stops after ten seconds.

I found that I used a fake DS4 controller , I can use it normally after changing one. Thank you.
