What is libstdc++6(>=4.6)?

Post by Theo »

Hello quick question. Trying to obtain v.24 of gimx but when I attempt to install it says
Dependency is not satisfiable libstdc++6(>=4.6). What should I do? Sorry if I'm troubling anyone. :(

Hi,

Did you added 'universe' to your repositories?
Do you have an internet connection at the time you try to install the package?

I will try that again soon. I thought I did it, but maybe not. Can I use Gimx 0.24 with ubuntu version 10.04?

I don't know. I suggest you to upgrade to ubuntu 11.10.

I actually upgraded my Ubuntu last night - accidentally installed 0.23 over 0.25, and got the same error when I tried to install either 0.24 or 0.25... but 0.23 worked fine..

exact same error.

I am formatting my computer tonight and re-installing windows 7 64 from vista (nothing but headache)

Going to use GIMX from windows as my video card does not scream the gpu fan on high (which is driving the wife mad)

Hello,

I cannot update to any newer version of ubuntu. I am obliged to keep my 10.04 installation.
Moreover my cd rom does not even work :(
Would it be possible to have a package compatible with this version of ubuntu?
Otherwise would it be possible to have source code to compile on my laptop?

Hope to hear good news from you.
Thanks and regards

How is your problem related to the thread?
What's the problem with ubuntu 10.04?
Did you see the development section?
