Random disconnects (G29 -> PS4)

Hi, I'm having a problem with random disconnections.

These disconnections happen without any regular time interval. It can be 10 minutes of use or after 4 hours of use.

The gimx.exe terminal closes on its own, but the gimx-launcher program remains open and the G29 is disconnected from the PS4.
After that if I click start on launcher the terminal gimx.exe reopens, and I can use G29 again. But this during a race is very bad, because the car loses control.

A friend of mine is having the same problem. Please, can anyone help us

Os: Windows 10 on SSD

GIMX adapter: Bought in https://herbertfx.com/

the gaming target: PS4

the game: F1 2019

the controller: G29

Hi

Are you using any usb hubs in this setup, also if you are using extension cables from the PC side adapter try plugging the adapter directly into the pc.

Another way to test if its a software or hardware issue is to make a live linux usb with Mint 19.3 and run GIMX from there if the disconnect still happens it could be a faulty uart converter or cable/hub issue.

Also Can you confirm the USBDK and Logitech Software versions installed as well as the driver version of the CP210x board.

I'm using a uh700 hub from tplink, but I tested without the hub and without any extension cable and the disconnection keeps happening.

I installed a ubuntu yesterday but gave up when I read this on the gimx website:

"GIMX allows to emulate a G29 for PS4. All controls are working: wheel and pedals axes, wheel buttons, shifter buttons. Combining multiple devices (wheel, pedals, shifter, ...) is possible. Force feedback only works for Logitech wheels older than the G29/G920, and for the G29/G920 starting from Linux kernel 4.6. Auto-adjustment of the wheel range is only supported for Logitech wheels older than the G29/G920, and rpm led control is only supported for the G27."

I installed the driver you indicated.
I will leave it on here and check if the disconnection will occur.
Later I return with the test results (sometimes it takes time for the disconnection to happen).
Thank you for helping us

Its a pleasure

Just as a side note the recommended UART to use is a CP2104 as it supports a higher rate of transmission especially for wheel setup as they send more packets than the normal keyboard and mouse setup.

Even with the new driver gimx.exe was closed unexpectedly.

The only tip I have in the log is this message:
../gimxcommon/src/windows/async.c:97 queue_write: no space left in write queue for device (\\.\COM3)

About the cp2104, I talked to the supplier of my gimx adapter and he said he follows the recommendation of the official website.

And he has other customers who are not going through this.
He's trying to help us too

Could you install USBCAP and make a capture and post it on pastebin and link it here.

There are some instructions here: http://desowin.org/usbpcap/tour.html

Don't get me wrong the CP2102 is supported its just sometimes there are issues on some systems that's why I recommended a live linux usb test to see whether its a windows driver issue or hardware related

I have another laptop (old) with windows 7, I will test it now.
In case the problem persists, I will install this tool and post the results.
And thanks again for helping us solve this problem
