good evening ,
i recently made my own gimx adapter but unable to get it working
my parts is : 1) Arduino leonardo R3
                    2) CP2102 5 pin usb to ttl
what i did ; 1) connect [Tx-Rx ; Rx-Tx ; Gnd-Gnd] from converter to leonardo
                   2) plugged both end to my laptop and install driver for cp210X and leonardo
                   3) used gimx-loader , selected EMUG29PS4 , double tap the reset button of the leonardo
                       and flashed succesfully
                    4) unplugged both converter and leonardo
                    5) plugged in g27 , a turned off ds4 , converter to my laptop
                     6 ) plugged in leonardo to ps4
                      7) ran gimx launcher and downloaded necessary config
                       8) port showed up just fine (COM10) , clicked start
                        9) error usb adapter not detected
                         10) swapped TX/RX possition , not working
                           11) reverted to older version of gimx (7.9) not working..
User Esalem mentioned in his thread that he had to swap gnd around to get it working , my leonardo has 3 pins labelled gnd , but none of them return a success
Things i tried : swap tx/rx , swap usb cable , reinstalling all driver (usbdk , etc etc) , reflashing firmware .
Worth noting that , out of frustuation , i tried connecting only one pin (tx) and it showed diffrent problem . This verifies that the serial converter sees the leonardo , but refuse to talk to it when both are connected (doesnt matter the tx/rx possition , return same error anyway)
Anything that i am missing ?
target : ps4 , logitech g27 , sony official ds4

Please give me a screenshot in Control Panel/Devices and Printers.
I think your USB to UART adapter is not available.

Hi ,
thankyou for replies ..
My usb to uart does showed up as cp210x
[COM3 because this is with another laptop, still the same ]
On its own :
arduino , uploaded a "blink" sketch and it works just fine
Usb to ttl , tested simply by firing up putty , select serial , short rx and tx , and type something . The text do appear indicating its working
But together , they refuse to work

Open gimx-launcher, click on "Help > Update", and apply update. Then post another log file if problem persists.

Hi ,
fortunately , it is a hardware issue , these clones had some wiring problem, TX and RX pins are shorted due to excess Solder . I cleaned it up and everything works perfectly
Thankyou for your replies and have a good day!

I still recommend updating GIMX. There were lots of fixes since version 7.9!
