Game Input MultipleXer

In the wiki, it says that the only controller that will work for the Xbox 360 is the official one, due to the need for the security chip inside. However, all controllers for the Xbox 360 are officially licensed, and so they have that chip. Is there any reason a Rock Candy branded controller won't work other than the chip? I see no reason why it wouldn't, since it is officially licensed and works on the real console.

If it has same ID as Microsoft controller then yes.

How would I go about changing GIMX to search for a Rock Candy controller instead? There are probably 40 C files in the git repo, which is far too many for me to read.
