Is it possible to use the wiimote to play on ps4 with gimx?

If it works as standard controller on pc then yes but you still need DS4 to authenticate.

is this the same for any ps3 controller? or can i use a ps3 controller to emulate ps4 controls?

You can use whatever controller you want as long as it works on PC.
