When I open the GIMX launcher 70% of the time the port that is recognized which is 7 does not show on port list or just stay on port 7 if I was to turn of GIMX launcher and turn PC off. I have to disconnect and reconnect and then restart PC then open GIMX launcher and cross my fingers that port 7 shows up as a port. Any ides or help on what could be the issue or a solution. Thank you.

Hello,

I moved your topic to the support section.

Do you use DIY adapter or official one?

Does the COM7 appear in the Device Manager when it doesn't in gimx-launcher?

Regards,
Daniel

Thank you for the response not sure what I'm looking for in the device manager . In Device manager under Ports(COM&LPT) shows the following:

Silicon Labs CP210xUSB to UART Bridge(COM7)
SimXperience USB Actuator Port(COM6)
SimXperience USB Actuator Port(COM7)
SimXperience USB Actuator Port(COM8)
SimXperience USB Actuator Port(COM9)
USB Serial Port (COM5)
USB-SERIAL CH349 (COM17)

With the Device Manager open I also opened Gimx Launcher and in port section its shows :

Port COM17

if I click on the down arrow to select a different port it Shows:

COM 5
COM 6
COM 8
COM 9
COM 17

hope this helps . thank you.

It seems there is a conflict here:

Silicon Labs CP210xUSB to UART Bridge(COM7)
SimXperience USB Actuator Port(COM7)

These two ports have the same number. Please assign another number to the "Silicon Labs CP210xUSB to UART Bridge" device.

Right click on the "Silicon Labs CP210xUSB to UART Bridge" device. In the "Port settings" panel, click on "Advanced", and choose a com port number that is unused.
