I know it's experimental. Countless people have it working though. I on the other hand do not. I installed what Matlo said to install which is the newest release armhf.deb package with no problems. It just doesn't appear to be working. Thanks for help in the meantime. It's much appreciated.

You can try with this pre-config image for Rpi3.

I've tried the raspian_stretch 6.9 an still no luck. Should I try any specific one?

Please post another log file with the guide button being pressed while generating the log file.

It's ok. I'm just going to start from scratch. What version of Raspian should I install? Once I do that, what package of gimx should i try? I'm in the process of making dinner. I will go off your advice an do exactly what you say. I'll start gimx an hold the guide button while logging it.
