Post by WastelandCruiser » Thu Nov 23, 2017 5:23 pm

Hello!
Everything in settings went OK, until trying to actually start in GIMX launcher. Problem mostly just like gcardy have in previous post.
Goes an error with this log:

I'm using Teensy 2.0. Bought it here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Teensy- ... 12031.html
And CP2102 from Waveshare Electronics, but system saying that it's made by Silicon labs. Bought here https://www.chipdip.ru/product/cp2102-u ... ard-mini-2 I undersand, that it's not actually the same as required. But here it goes.
I used atmega32u4.hex from EMUG29PS4

Swapped TX/RX connections. Just in case. Checked soldering visually. Everything plugged directly into PC. Gamepad and CP2102 into Usb 2.0, wheel into Usb 3.0. Tried random variants. Didn't help.
Thanks.

There may be a bad connection between UART and AVR board or Teensy is fake (more probable)

Thanks for the reply. I just kind of confused. Because people who bought this Teensy, saying that it's all OK with chinese firmware versions. I'm not arguing, just saiyng. I've tried some of it, but there was the same error.

Later next month I'll order other one Teensy and CP2102 USB to UART Bridge. I doubt that it would be the original from Gimx store. Kind of expensive for me. Later on I'll reply on how it worked.
Anyway, thanks for help.

Soldering may be incorrect either on the header pin, or on the atmega32u4 pin.
If you have a continuity tester, like a multimeter, check continuity from the CP2102 pin to the atmega32u4 pin.

Finally i bought the multimeter. Double checked both chips to pins. And there was bad soldering at D2 pin. Redid the soldering... and it's working now! I finally can play GTS with my handwheel!
But it's working kind of strange: for some time it was OK, but after 5-10 minutes handwheel stopped responcing with a lot of some LIUSB errors. After truying to connect again, packet header error jumps again. Redid soldering... again. It's workng for now. But in GIMX cmd there are only windows/gprio.c:23 gprio: failed to set priority class message, and some RawInputMsgWindow, which is represented just as a white dot.
Thank you guys for help and advice with a multimeter.

Glad you found the issue :)

This still looks like a connection problem as these errors are related to it.

Make sure to turn the DS4 off before connecting it to the computer.
