Official GIMX adapter not detected

Post by VGWoller »

Hi there,

I got the official adapter from the GIMX store. I'm trying to connect my Logitech DFGT to my PS4.

Here's the log file:
global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `LogitechDrivingForceGT_G29.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM3'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set

gimx.c:208 SDL_main: no adapter detected
My steps to get there were:

1. Download GIMX 6.8, installing the USBDK and CP210x drivers
2. Download compatible Logitech gaming software for the wheel
3. Plug in wheel and (a switched off) DS4 via usb.
4. Plug official adapter into PC and PS4.
5. Run GIMX launcher, select Logitech DFGT_G29.xml config, check everything is detected which it is.
6. Click start, see log file above.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Please make sure that the micro USB plug of the cable is fully inserted into the adapter.
Also make sure to turn the PS4 on before starting GIMX.

Hi there,

I've done both of these things, and get the same error. I've also tried with a different usb cable for the adapter, and even on a second PC. All the same error :(
