Can anyone decode these error logs for me please?

Hi

I am running a laptop with 2 usb ports, Win 7 64bit. I have an unpowered usb hub with a Fanatec CRS wheel and CSR elite pedals, plus the DS4 controller plugged into 1 usb port and a GIMX adapter I bought from the online store in the other.

I have installed Logitech G25 drivers and put my CSR wheel into PS3 mode. The wheel and the DS4 controller are both recognised by the Laptop and the GIMX adapter is recognised as a Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART bridge on COM3.

I've downloaded the GIMX config G25-G29 file and loaded that, then powered off the DS4 controller.

When I run GIMX Launcher the check option says that setup seems to be okay but then when I run I get this log:

global option -l with value `log.txt'
global option -c with value `LogitechG25_G29.xml'
controller #1: option -p with value `COM3'
now reading arguments for controller #2
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
GIMX 6.7 x86_64
Windows 7 SP1 x64
Kernel version: 6.1 (7601)
USB adapter detected, controller type is: G29 PS4.
No controller was found on USB buses.
gimx.c:208 SDL_main: no adapter detected

Can anyone tell me what the problem is please (and hopefully how to fix it)?

thanks

Lee

Hi,
Just connect the DS4 to the computer with a USB cable.

Hi Matlo

Thanks for the quick reply.

The DS4 controller was already connected to the PC via the USB hub (same one as the CSR wheel is connected to).

I have to use a hub because I don't have any other spare USB ports.

Did you mean I should have the DS4 controller connected and turned on, rather than powered off (which I what I have been doing)?

Thanks

Lee

Check the DS4 appears in the device manager. If it doesn't, there is a problem with either the HUB or the DS4 cable.

Thanks.

It shows up in device manager as "wireless controller". Is that not correct?

Hi Matlo

I have managed to get the wheel working now. thanks for your help. I had to plug the controller into the solo USB port and the GIMX adapter and Fanatec wheel into the USB hub.

Only problem is I'm now finding that my CSR (not elite) pedals aren't being recognised properly. I've had a look at GIMX-config but when I try to calibrate they don't seem to be recognised.

In Driveclub they seem to recognise the break pedal as reverse but the throttle doesn't do anything.

Can you help at all please? I'm posting in this post again because it already has my setup listed.

thanks

Lee

Hi,

Pedal calibration is a bit tricky.
I'll release GIMX 6.8 very soon, and it will include a pedal calibration feature.
I'll let you know when it's ready.

Thanks Matlo.

I look forward to hearing when it's ready.

Thanks again for your replies. It's an awesome product and I'm really looking forward to getting it working properly.

It's ready: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2153
Edit your config, select the pedal axis binding in the "Axis" tab, click on "Modify", and then on "Apply".
Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the pedal, and save the config.
