No serial port detected?

Post by MrRush28 » Sat Apr 08, 2017 8:12 am

Ok. So I'm trying to use my DFGT on my ps4. I installed all the software on my W8 laptop. I copied the video in the videos section on how to run the programs, drivers etc. Teensy flashed appropriately, but no lights ever flash. With my ps4 on, controller off but plugged in to pc, dfgt plugged in to pc (drivers installed), teensy plugged into my pc along with the dualshock3 cord plugged into my ps4 to the teensy. In the gimx program I do not have any Com ports listed and when I run a check it says "No serial port detected". And I do not have any "Ports" in my device manager, nor are they under hidden either. I have tried switching the TX/Rx on the USB adapter too. I've been going at this for hours trying to get this working. Any ideas? Thanks!

If your adapter does not show up in the device manager then either it's broken or the drivers are missing.

Thanks. I'm gonna order another adapter and see if that fixes the issue. I tried on my w7 pc too and doesn't show up, only as a unrecognized device in device manager/Windows.

Where did you buy it?
Did you install the driver?

Yep. Everything was installed per instruction on two different OS. I have another one coming in tomorrow, so I'll now if it's a Hardware or software problem then. I get a descriptor failed error (43)
